THE BEST :
Miniatures, scènes de la vie (Pascale GARNIER)
I bought it on Internet, the councils of several site, in particular
Miniaturama which gives him 20/20. Ca is worth them, it is exactly
what I have desire for making. I with pleasure found the workshop
of the mouse (I had already seen the photograph of a expo) inspired
of the mice of Brambly
hedge
There are explanations and plans of pieces of furniture, but where
to find plates of poplar, drowning and other rare gasolines in 20/10
mm?
Perhaps will I be able to make one day the burrow of rabbits, when
I will have a little more tools? |
|
Les moins :
No negative, it is just a little difficult.
This book approaches all the miniature techniques : basket making,
furniture, embroidery, plants, characters... |
|
|
|
Les maisons de poupées (d'Ingeborg Riesser)
A book of photographs (houses, but especially scenes)
What a perfection!
|
|
|
|
|
|
Doll's house furniture (Freida Gray - anglais)
Les plus :
Plans of pieces of furniture explained while following a progression
of the upholstered armchair to the dressers and cupboards. |
|
Les moins :
in inches |
|
|
|
Vitrines et miniatures (Monique Mineau = Patmo)
Collection Secrets d'Atelier, éd. Solar
Les plus : many explanations and plans, achievements
very accessible.
|
|
|
|
|
|
Bois et Miniatures (M.L. Pétré)
Que sur le bois, pas énormémént de plans.
Les plus :
Good councils on the painting and the patina of the pieces of furniture,
ageing and the cérusé effect.
|
|
Les moins :
The completion of the furniture is not perfect. |

Miniature Worlds in 1/12th Scale

(garden in a watering-can, tearoom in a teapot, drapery in a hat box...) |
|
Les moins : accessories are not very detailed. |
|
|
|

characters |
|
Les moins : not easy |
|
|

Magic Loisir number 53 :
Les plus : I happilly borrowed it from the library
----------
Magic Loisir number 123 : much better, there are plans of pieces
of furniture on central pages. |
|
Les moins :
Not interesting, this is only collections of ready-made miniatures
put on rows in roomboxes,

Three old books : |
|
|
Imaginer, décorer et meubler des MAISONS
DE POUPEES (Daniel Puiboube) Hachette, 1981
An old book, much of beautiful photographs of old houses of collection.
Les plus :
The roombox pictures give ideas nevertheless.
to see some pages : page
40 page
61 page
85 |
|
Les moins :
The furniture to be realized are very summary, there are only drawings,
and not photograph!!!
The scales are surprising: 1/13, 1/8, 1/10
They advise to buy half of the accessories for makig half !
And especially they advise all along the book the purchase of Lundby
accessories !

Maquettes & modèles réduits
- Concevoir, réaliser, collectionner (Daniel Puiboube) Edition
Artemis, 2000
or, different title, but the same book...!!!
Miniatures & modèles réduits
- Concevoir, réaliser, collectionner (Daniel Puiboube)
Edition Solar, 1997
Les plus :
Councils practise on tools, materials and techniques.
Draft all fields :
figurines, santons in their decorations, doll's houses (furniture
as well as architecture and outside style), village to the 1/100,
shops, lighting, cars, trains and networks with landscapes, trees,
true miniature gardens ....
some pages : page
70. |
|
Les moins :
begins again the Louis-Philippe secretary made from a wooden box (with
sliding lid) already seen in his preceding book !!!
I do not see any chance to find this kind of box just to the size
of the furniture, why not simply building a carcass ?
The examples and the explanations are drawn, nor realized or photographed
and they are decorated illustration of professional furniture without
any comparison !!! |

saw. It is 1/8 scale, they are intended for small dolls, and they
are movable, solid and functional for children.
see some pages : un

|
Les moins :
Need a electric saw.

The only French review is
le
magazine de la Maison de Poupée, trimestriel

Many ideas, of reports and photographs, a true pleasure to receive,
that are worth a book.
It is in fact the review of the club.
