Characters : one of the most difficult thing to make
in miniature.
But it's worth trying, the cheap 1/12 scale characters more look like
children dolls than people on reduced scale. That can pass for a small
girl but becomes ridiculous for an adult man or an old person, unless
spending really much money in a character....
One can find on the Net dolls sites with detailed explanations.
I make the head, the arms and the legs in flesh Fimo. The eyes and
the mouth are then painted. The character is articulated (pipe-cleaner)
then the reinforcement is covered with stuck fabric strips. |

1/12 Scale character figures for the dolls' house,
a really excellent book.
I read it several times and I made several heads before understand
all and benefit from his methods. I thought not being able to do better
than my first characters, but with practice, I saw all the progress
made.
But I does not make yet the complete chest in Fimo. |
